FIREWISE Program
Washington’s Firewise Program encourages individuals and communities to implement fire-safe practices that protect people, property and natural resources from the risk of damaging wildfires. The program follows the national Firewise Communities/USA approach, which promotes local solutions for preventing and responding to fires. Financial and technical assistance is available through the Firewise Program.

The Kahler Glen Community is a Firewise Certified Community and has an active Firewise Committee. We work closely with the Lake Wenatchee Fire and Rescue. The link above provides valuable and timely information on multiple services and resources provided by our LWFR. Many of Kahler Glen’s owners are members of the Auxiliary. KG Owners will be kept informed of community Firewise events via the regular newsletter and/or special notices. The Committee reports regularly to the Board and at the Annual Meetings.
